In the Vaucluse Department, at the foot of the limestone Mont Ventoux and the Monts de Vaucluse.

History:

The Winery, lying near an oratory dedicated to Saint Marc, has borne this name since it was created. According to legend, Saint Marc, the patron saint of winemakers in Provence, passed through Caromb on an evangelisation journey.

Grape varieties:

  • Cinsault (70%)
  • Grenache (20%) ·
  • Syrah (10%)

Vinification:

This Côtes du Ventoux rosé wine is obtained from the partial bleeding of red wine vats, with pellicular contact of 10 to 24 hours and approximately 30 days of alcoholic fermentation, with temperature controlled at between 15 and 16°C to obtain the most aromatic wines possible.

Tasting:

  • Visual aspect: attractive, relatively intense colour with mauve hues, limpid and bright. ·
  • Olfactory aspect: delicate, aromas of small fresh red fruits, hint of amyl (cherry, raspberry).
  • Gustatory aspect: full and fresh, well-balanced. The body is very aromatic on attack with a predominant fruitiness and good length.

Accompanying foods and wines:

The Saint Marc Winery’s Rosé wine is greatly appreciated with starters, cold meats and also as an accompaniment to summer barbecues.

Serving temperature:

This wine should be served at a temperature of between 10 and 12°C, which gives it the quality of a fresh and fruity wine.Storage:It is a wine to be drunk young, between 1 and 2 years.
